            Background

I decided to choose this internship because ever since I was a little girl I have had a passion for anything related to the ear. My mother and I were both born with a hearing loss, which led us to wear hearing aids. Growing up with a hearing loss has given me this passion to help others who suffer from the same thing. I wish to be able to share my own personal experiences with others and let them know that suffering from any consequences of a hearing loss does not make them any different from anyone else in the world. Hence, this is why I decided to pursue with this internship; mainly to learn and prepare myself for the real world in the field of audiology.
